- Synopsis
- A BBC topical arts magazine series. This episode includes an interview with Edward Bond, who talks about his play Lear that premiered the same week with Harry Andrews in the title role. Bond states that his version presents a criticism of the philosophy of acceptance put forward by Shakespeare’s play. The interview is intercut with scenes from the current production directed by Alan Yentob.
