- Synopsis
- Shakespeare-related item on BBC’s breakfast show in which Bob Friend from New York reports on the reception of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of All’s Well That Ends Well (dir. Trevor Nunn) at the Martin Beck Theatre, New York. Includes interviews with Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) actors Philip Franks and Vivienne Argent who are shocked that the play has flopped despite good critical reviews. Another interview is with an RSC actor dressed as Shakespeare, who takes to the streets in Times Square in order to advertise the play.
