Topping the Bill

Synopsis
Online video. Rachel Bentall, Laura Northcott, Sophie Dennis, Josh Kennard, Rebecca Starkiss and Hayley Jones are drama students at Thomas Keble School at Eastcombe, Gloucestershire. They adapted A Midsummer Night’s Dream to incorporate the local Gloucestershire accent. During rehearsals for the they take time out to discuss their play, the plot and what Shakespeare means to them. The school took taking part in the UK-wide BBC Drama and Shakespeare Schools Festival event, ‘One Night of Shakespeare’ which took place on July 3, 2005 and saw 100 theatres across Britain play host to 400 successful productions of Shakespeare, featuring over 10,000 students.
