Synopsis
CBC Radio series on the Stratford (Ontario) Shakespeare Festival. This episode discusses the Festival’s production of Richard II. Timothy Findley interviews William Hutt (who plays Richard) and director Stuart Burge who comment on the character of Richard and discuss the difficulty of performing rhyming verse. Designer Desmond Healy describes his method of achieving certain effects with fabric used in costumes designed specifically for the play.
