Reviews
In his review of the production for The Listener, Philip Hope-Wallace finds The Winter’s Tale "among the plays unspoiled, even aided, by being unseen. ... Paulina was Margaret Rawlings, a voice which bodies forth a whole person instantly ... The version by Barbara Burnham was well pared down. Hugh Stewart kept up good pace. The Speaking was mostly excellent ..." ('For Me and My Aunts’, vol. 42, 22 December 1949, p. 1107).
