Blaming of the Shrew, The

Synopsis
American sitcom portraying a working-class family living in fictional Lanford, Illinois struggling to get by on a limited income. In this episode Dan puts his foot down when D.J. allows a pushy shrewish woman to boss him around, while Roseanne likes the girl and her feisty attitude. When D.J. starts to get into trouble at school over this relationship, Roseanne outs her foot down. Jackie and Fred see a psychologist (Ellen DeGeneres) to help resolve anger issues. The strongest connection to The Taming of the Shrew is probably the title.
