History
In 1950 Audio Rarities Records bought the rights to all six transcriptions of the 1937 series, deleting the opening theme and monologue and replacing it with a new one and giving it a new title John Barrymore and Shakespeare. The second series was a re-broadcast of the original 1937 series and was also broadcast by NBC. Only five of the six productions were broadcast and in a different order.
