Synopsis
Television special. Barbra Streisand and Jason Robards in a musical revue fashioned after vaudeville shows from the turn of last century to the 1920s. At one point in the show Streisand and Robards as ‘The Mongers’ enact several scenes from The Tempest. "Jefferson Davis Monger and his wife Roberta Lee Booth are about to enthrall you with "A Taste Of The Tempest." Barbra plays Roberta, a Shakespearean actress with a deep Southern drawl. Robards plays Jefferson Davis Monger.

General
This was the third Barbra Streisand special and the lowest rated of all of them. The show was filmed at the CBS studio in 57th St New York and an art nouveau theatre was built within the studio designed by Tom John.
