- Synopsis
- Irregularly scheduled series of musical specials featuring Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Bernstein compares the beat in Shakespeare’s verse to rhythms in jazz, Beethoven’s third symphony (The Eroica), and in the music of Wagner, Stravinksy, Copland (El Salon Mexico), and Franck (Symphony in D Minor).
