Synopsis
This radio broadcast of Verdi’s ‘Lyrical comedy in three acts’ was the first of six studio performances given by the BBC Opera Orchestra and Chorus under Stanford Robinson. The programme is presented by Mark Lubbock with Andrew Cruickshank as narrator.
