Arrangers Anonymous. Part 2
- Synopsis
- A four-part series, presented by Russell Davies, which analyses and deconstructs a selection of outstanding jazz scores, discovering how each arrangement actually works and what was in the mind of the arranger when the piece was conceived. He is joined by Barry Forgie and Steve Gray. Programme 2 explores three numbers from the suite Such Sweet Thunder, by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. The tracks analysed are ‘Such Sweet Thunder’, ‘Sonnet to Hank Cinq’ and ‘Ladymac’.
