Notes

General
A sitcom about next-door neighbours and rivals in the antique market reads like an offshoot of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. Peel (Donald Sinden) is divorced from his wife and raises his son David as a single parent. Smallbridge is a widower raising his daughter Lyn. In the opening episode the children reveal that they are having a relationship and intend to marry.
