The masque from Timon of Athens (1694), Purcell’s incidental music for the play, is the second of a two-part broadcast which begins with Purcell’s music from Don Quixote. The programme was arranged and directed by Anthony Lewis. With Margaret Field-Hyde (soprano). Performed by the BBC Chorus and Orchestra.
