Danny Kaye Show , The [10/03/1945]
- Synopsis
- Radio comedy/variety series. This spisode includes a sketch around ‘Romeo and Juliet’ including some Shakespeare paraphrases to sell the sponsor’s product - beer. Jensen (op cit) writes ‘The sketches do not really parody Shakespeare as much as they use his play to parody the different radio genres. The emphasis is on being silly, not knowledgeable about Shakespeare. The shows ends with some very nice Harry James big band music’.
