Billy Madison

Synopsis
Feature film comedy. Adam Sandler stars in the title role about a 27 year-old slacker who must go back to school in order to take over his father’s company. In response to his father’s tirade at his son’s incompetence and laziness, Billy is determined to become his father’s successor and proposes that he will complete all twelve grades in twenty four weeks in order to prove his intelligence and work ethic. As part of the task Billy and Eric (an ambitious company man) compete in giving performances of Hamlet’s ‘to be or not to be’ soliloquy. Both give over-the-top performances, but Billy (in Elizabethan costume and carrying a skull) is deemed to be the winner.
