Ophelia Learns to Swim

Synopsis
Feminist satirical low-budget film appropriating the character of Ophelia as a metaphor for a young, unassertive woman. Ophelia has nightmares about the film TITANIC, is dominated by her father and boyfriend Hamilton, and is unable to swim. When her brother steals a broom from a witch she become involved with feminist heroines - Mother Nature, The Librarian, The Muse and The Chocolatier. Includes a scene in which Hamlet (in Elizabethan costume) appears as a broom delivery man holding a skull and reciting the ‘too too solid flesh’ soliloquy (I ii).
