Synopsis
A documentary record of the process of physical theatre training as employed by Brisbane-based theatre company, Zen Zen Zo. The video is shot in cinema verite style and features retrospective interviews with the director, choreographer and fight arranger. Filmed over five months, the video illuminates elements of the Suzuki method of actor training, stage combat and yoga. The ensemble’s physical journey is contextualised throughout the film, with a parallel journey of rehearsal for the performance season of Macbeth.
