Hair

Synopsis
Feature film derived from the stage rock musical Hair about a group of hippies whose beliefs run counter to the traditional American 1960s morality. Two songs make reference to Shakespeare’s plays - What a Piece of Work is Man (Hamlet II ii) and Flesh Failures (Let the Sun Shine In) where the lyrics ‘Eyes, look your last!/Arms, take your last embrace! And lips, O you/The doors of breath/seal with a righteous kiss’ are from Romeo and Juliet (V iii).
