- Synopsis
- Documentary narrated by Mike Baker, Jr. Includes an account of Shakespeare’s life in Stratford and London
and the new Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on Bankside (interviews with the Education Director, Patrick Spottiswoode). At the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon there are interviews with Ian Rowley and Adrian Noble (with shots of Noble’s production of Cymbeline and Alex Jennings as Hamlet). A section on the Folger Shakespeare Library includes former Director, Werner Gundersheimer, speaking about Shakespeare on screen. Director Michael Khan is seen at the Shakespeare Theatre at the Lansburgh where their educational programme is discussed. - Language
