- The BFI National Archive holds only reels two and three of a five-reel feature (1,849ft, 20mins). The surviving footage shows the action from Antonio first agreeing with Shylock to his bond (I iii) to Portia saying ‘Is your name Shylock?' in court (IV i). Ball gives a detailed description of the footage and intertitles.
