Tragedia Alla Corte di Sicilia, Una
- Alternative title
- Winter’s Tale, The Lost Princess, The Novella d’Inverno: Una Novella di Shakespeare
- Synopsis
- Abbreviated version of The Winter’s Tale. William Shakespeare reads the play to some friends. The story is largely the plot of the play but Autolycus is omitted and there is no pursuit of a bear. McKernan & Terris (op cit) note ‘Hermione is shown to be seemingly dead and not a statue, an unfortunate omission as it would have been an ideal gesture for a silent cinema version’.
