- Synopsis
- Interest film, in five parts, based on the Glastonbury pageant of 1922. Episode one shows the arrival of Joseph of Arimathea to preach Christianity to British peoples; episode 2 shows King Alfred’s generosity in victory towards the Danes; episode three features King Edward, the Black Prince and an accident to a young Jewish boy; episode four shows the Tor Fair at the time of Queen Elizabeth, including a drama about a girl dressing as a boy so that she can be employed on the same farm as her lover, and a morality play watched by William Shakespeare and friends; in the final episode Jack returns from the Colonies to join his foster parents at the Michaelmas Fair, he also takes part in the town pageant.
