Bowmans, The

Synopsis
Sitcom starring Tony Hancock. Hancock, playing Old Joshua Merryweather, is very unpopular with the cast and is unceremoniously sacked from the radio serial ‘The Bowmans’ (a spoof of ‘The Archers’). His character is killed off and he is out of work, but wishing to cash in on his popular success as Joshua he applies for a stage audition. He begins Hamlet’s ‘to be or not to be’ speech in the West Country accent of Joshua.
