Synopsis
This live transmission from the 2007 Proms, presented by Fiona Talkington, brings together two key themes: Shakespeare and Sibelius. The concert programme starts with Sibelius’s complete incidental music for The Tempest sung in Finnish (67 mins). Osmo Vanska directs the Lahti Symphony Orchestra. With Helena Juntunen (soprano), Lilli Paasikivi (mezzo-soprano), Juha Hostikka (tenor), Petri Lehto (tenor) and Ville Rusanen (baritone).
