Synopsis
Radio broadcast. Fifth in a series of 26 weekly programmes "designed as an anthology of the best-known and best-loved speeches and scenes" from Shakespeare’s better known plays. This episode showcases ‘the best of’ Julius Caesar. The scenes are taken from the Marlowe Dramatic Society production directed by George Rylands with Richard Johnson as Mark Antony and Tony Church as Caesar.

According to the programme notes in London Calling, more than half of the programmes were produced specially for the General Overseas Service, while the rest is taken from ‘classic’ BBC productions of the previous 20 years.
