- Reviews
- The unusually detailed review in The Times praised the production for its use of music, which enhanced the supernatural and the ghostly aspects of the tragedy, turning the broadcast version into an ‘impressive’ rather than ‘realistic’ production. There was one reservation: "We should have liked to hear the witches attempt something other than the conventional accents of shrill horror which one has heard so often, but within the limits of this prescribed form ... their scenes were persuasive enough." (13 March 1933, p. 12)
