Notes

General
"In a dust- covered historical set plastered with sheets of swastika wallpaper, the play drags on for an hour as a karaoke replication of a 1962 performance by Gustaf Gründgens—until it reaches the scene Schlingensief really needs. The players, whose performance Hamlet hopes will inspire his uncle to confess fratricide, are portrayed by six amateur actors, who in real life supposedly turned their backs on the neo-Nazi scene and entered a mentoring project created for them. This is where Hamlet ends..." Irmer, op cit.
Textual information
Dramaturgs are Carl Hegemann and Robert Koall. Translated into German by A. W. von Schlegel.
