- National Schools Broadcast. The third in a four-part series introduced by Mavor Moore, which concentrates on certain aspects of character, theme and historical impact of Hamlet. The programme is in three parts. 1: The opening scene in Hamlet played by William Hutt. 2. John Hirsch, who directed the play at the Stratford (Ontario) Shakespeare Festival, talks about his experiences and how he would direct it in the future. 3. George McCowan talks about how Shakespeare’s plays are adapted for radio, television and the cinema.
