Roberto Alagna and Anna Netrebko sing the title roles. Placido Domingo conducts the Metropolitan Opera and Chorus. The Met’s production is introduced by presenter Peter Gelb.

- The intermission Includes interviews with Domingo and members of the cast. The opera was transmitted live on BBC radio 3 15/12/2007 (catalogued separately).
- Figures
- The Met transmitted Romeo et Juliette live via satellite to high-definition screens at five New York City public high schools. Some 2,000 students and family members attended free. The Met reported a worldwide audience of 97,000 on 600 screens and a box office gross of $1.65 million.
