- Radio programme of Shakespearean music. The BBC Orchestra, conducted by Joseph Lewis plays German’s Coronation March (Henry VIII), Nicolai’s Overture for ‘The Merry Wives of Windsor’, Bantok’s ‘Macbeth Music’, Massenet’s Suite (comprised of a series of studies on The Tempest, Othello, Macbeth), Quilter’s settings for the As You Like It production performed in 1922, and Coleridge-Taylor’s ‘Othello’ music from 1911 (written for Herbert Tree’s production of the play).
