Notes
- General
- According to Radio Times programme notes, each talk in the series "will have as its subject a concert, an opera, or a festival that listeners will have an opportunity of hearing. Leslie Heward and and Victor Hely-Hutchinson will use such events as an excuse for talking round their subject; why this work appeals to them, what problems it presents to a conductor, why it is worth listening to, and how it was composed. Mr. Heward may digress in order to speak about similar works, to tell stories of the composer’s life ... Mr. Hey-Hutchinson will give interesting illustrations on the piano." (17 April 1936, p. 56)
