Seven Lears

Synopsis
Live audio recording at the Royal Court Theatre, London of Howard Barker’s play Seven Lears, a prequel to King Lear in which Barker re-invents and enlarges the roles of Lear’s women. The play is divided into seven acts, each act depicting a stage in Lear’s life, roughly corresponding with the ages of man as outlined by Jaques in As You Like It.
