Haddons praises director William Bridges-Adams as being "the pioneer of a movement for staging Shakespeare swiftly" (Hullo Playgoers: Wireless Theatre Talks Broadcast to the British Isles from 2LO, London: Cecil Palmer, 1924, p. 140).
