Sturm, Der: Ein Prolog
- Synopsis
- Experimental video by Angela Zumpe. ‘On a lonesome island at an indeterminate time,
Prospero, the rightful ruler of Milan and master of this island, creates a storm with his magic power that throws the shipwrecked on the shore. But the scenery goes out of control; something isn’t right any more. Creatures go astray in the desert; one talks about a chemical threat. Similar to a science fiction plot the scenery is unreal. Figures appear in infra-red light, figures familiar from the reporting cameras of the news. Not only the effects of "desert storm", but any military and ecological threat can change the order in our world to disorder. Political solutions seem to fail when facing military power. However in his "storm" master Prospero denies "this cruel magic". [Synopsis taken from the translation provided on the cinovid.org website, accessed 5/2008]. - Language
