- Radio adaptation of John Dryden’s Restoration version of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra produced by R. D. Smith . With Leo McKern and Valerie Hanson in the lead and members of the BBC Drama Repertory Company. Purcell’s music ('An Elegy on the Death of Matthew Locke’ ), written at the time of the original production of the play in 1677-1678, is arranged by Anthony Bernhard and played by the London Chamber Orchestra.
