- Reviews
- Oberlander, Marjorie J. Shakespeare Bulletin 6, no. 4 (1988). Rich, Frank. New York Times 23 March 1988, p. 20. Rich writes of Pacino’s verse speaking - ‘Mr. Pacino’s handling of the language also leaves much to be desired - not so much because he talks in New Yorkese, but because the New Yorkese seems to have been subjected to quick-fix elocution training. The staccato pauses following Mr. Pacino’s strenuous enunciation of final consonants obliterate the meaning of his lines’.
