Synopsis
Television comedy show hosted by Arthur Askey. This edition includes a running gag where Askey wants to prove himself a serious actor and quotes the ‘quality of mercy’ speech from The Merchant of Venice (IV i). Sabrina also appears on the show.

`I felt I wanted to give the show a gimmick of some sort. So I hit on the idea of having a dumb blonde around the set’. [from Askey’s autobiography Before Your Very Eyes]. The show made a celebrity of the fifties pin-up girl, Sabrina.
