Comic Relief - The Big One
- Synopsis
- Charity appeal for Red Nose day. In this sketch David Tennant plays Mr Logan, a new English teacher. Teenage pupil Lauren (Tate) challenges his ability to teach English when he is Scottish. He tries to teach the Shakespearean sonnet form but has constant interruptions, not least ‘Are You the Doctor?' ‘Doctor who?'. Lauren finally quotes the whole of Sonnet 130 ‘My mistress’ eyes are nothing like the sun’ whereupon Mr Logan dematerialises her into a parallel universe with his sonic screwdriver.
