Synopsis

Documentary about the ‘Shakespeare- Liebe Macht Tot(d) (Shakespeare - Love Power Death) school theatre competition initiated by ZDF Theaterkanal and 3Sat in Germany in 2008. 148 theatre groups had applied, five were chosen to go to the theatre festival in Berlin in May 2008. The film accompanies the groups during the festival and documents how the students manage the balancing act between life and art.
