English Majors

Synopsis
Among the excerpts from Garrison Keillor’s live variety radio show A Prairie Home Companion (1992-2008) are parodies of Hamlet - ‘The Six-Minute Hamlet’ and ‘The Family Shakespeare’. The latter projects Hamlet beyond the play to a marriage with Ophelia that produces children who hound their parents endlessly for money and new clothes, and Macbeth ('Celebrity Classics: The Ten-Minute Macbeth’), which uses voices imitating Mr. Rogers (Macbeth), Henry Kissinger (Duncan), Jack Nicholson (Ross), and Julia Child (Lady Macbeth).
