Rediscovering Shakespeare

Synopsis
Teleconference. The first international conference on the Rose and Globe discoveries, ‘New Issues in the Reconstruction of Shakespeare’s Theatre’, was held at the University of Georgia, Athens, February 16-18 1990. The three-day conference, directed by Franklin J. Hildy, was followed by a national video teleconference , ‘Rediscovering Shakespeare’s Globe’ which reached 100 institutions across the United States and Canada. The conference participants, led by Hildy, were J. L. Styan, Simon Blatherwick [Rose Theatre archaeologist], Sam Wanamaker and Andrew Gurr.
