Rediscovering Shakespeare
- Synopsis
- Teleconference. The first international conference on the Rose and Globe discoveries, ‘New Issues in the Reconstruction of Shakespeare’s Theatre’, was held at the University of Georgia, Athens, February 16-18 1990. The three-day conference, directed by Franklin J. Hildy, was followed by a national video teleconference , ‘Rediscovering Shakespeare’s Globe’ which reached 100 institutions across the United States and Canada. The conference participants, led by Hildy, were J. L. Styan, Simon Blatherwick [Rose Theatre archaeologist], Sam Wanamaker and Andrew Gurr.
