- Synopsis
- Feature film. An American black actor (Johnson) arrives in Rome to star in a stage production of Othello and also to locate Sam, a man for whom he served seven years in prison on a false charge of raping a white girl. Complications arise when, during rehearsals, he falls in love with his leading lady, a young Italian woman, whom he has cast as Desdemona.
