Synopsis
Radio current affairs and news programme. In this four minute item correspondent Raymond Buchanan reports on what happens if you combine two cultural icons, Shakespeare and the Beatles. Chris O’Neill, a singer from a Beatles tribute band has put the words of William Shakespeare to music and performs extracts from As You Like It and Shakespeare’s sonnets. Dr Adam Hansen from Northumbria University, who is currently writing a book on the Bard and popular music, comments.
