Bottomley’s play was published 1921 under the title Gruach but is titled Prelude to Macbeth by Libraries and Archives Canada. The Libraries and Archives Canada catalogue notes ‘no consultation copy’ (10/2008).
History
The play was first performed at the Atheneum Theatre in Glasgow in 1923 and the St. Martin’s Theatre in London in 1924.
