- Synopsis
- US comedy variety show hosted by Steve Allen. In an eight minute excerpt Orson Welles outlines the plot of Othello with the aid of several sketches (drawings) of key scenes. He then proceeds to apply make-up while talking about the character of Othello. When finished he gets up from the make-up table and performs lines from two soliloquies - Act III (`O curse of marriage, that we can call these delicate creatures ours’ ) and Act V ('Soft you, a word or two before you go...')
