Film of the rebuilding of the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, comprising: views of exterior of theatre, entrance hall and box office, 1932 ceremony of laying foundation stone, 2 July 1929 work in progress laying foundations events of 23 April 1932: procession to Holy Trinity Church, filmed at roundabout at top of Bridge Street; distinguished visitors, including Stanley Baldwin and George Bernard Shaw in New Place gardens; crowds waiting at theatre for arrival of Prince of Wales, arrival of Prince of Wales at theatre.
