Strike, The
- Synopsis
- Television series based on the 1980 film of the same name which, using drama and music, follows the lives of the students and faculty at the New York City High School for the Performing Arts. In this episode the students stage a musical version of Othello while the faculty is involved in a walkout. A rehearsal scene includes Othello and Desdemona’s exchange in Act II iv, and the final production number tells the play’s story in song and dance.
