Synopsis
Feature film. Rami is a Palestianian refugee living in contemporary Copenhagen. He meets Julie, a woman at a petrol station, who shelters him when he flees Frank and his gang of racist thugs. Rami leaves Julie’s protection temporarily to smuggle his refugee cousin, a terrorist, into Denmark. At a party Julie discovers that Frank knows about her love for Rami and Frank and his men assault her. While escorting his cousin, Rami is shot. Julie goes to the airport but only the cousin arrives. The film includes a launderette manager who acts as a Chorus figure giving Shakespeare quotations from Romeo and Juliet that provide commentary on the action.
