- Synopsis
- Documentary film. Petter Amundsen believes that he has discovered a unique set of codes hidden in The Tempest that prove that Shakespeare was an illiterate actor, and that Francis Bacon in collaboration with other anonymous writers was the author of the plays and sonnets. The film follows Amundsen’s search for the manuscripts. The British Shakespeare Company performs the coded poetry and participates in the reconstruction of central events from the
17th century. The film moves between 6 visual rooms: Petter’s study room, Petter hunting for the treasure,
Reconstructions, Scenes from plays and poetry, Interviews, Graphic elements. The film includes excerpts from The Tempest, Henry IV part I, Henry VI part I, Hamlet, Richard III, Titus Andronicus, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, Cymbeline, Twelfth Night, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Troilus and Cressida and All’s Well That Ends Well. - Language
