Synopsis
Radio documentary by Kwame Kwei-Armeh tracing the life and work of nineteenth century black British actor Ira Aldridge. Undeterred by the racial hostility of the press, Aldridge pursued his acting career to eventually become one of the most famous Shakespearean actors of his time.
